Morning – You can begin your day by walking, running, yoga or even some stretching exercises. You can even take your dog for a run or walk or go cycling. These activities make exercising look simple and keep you energetic all day. Here are 5 reasons why morning workouts are the best for you.

Breakfast – A carbohydrate rich breakfast is ideal on mornings when you have worked out. This poharecipe incorporates potatoes and peanuts and is a great way to start your day. You can enjoy it with a cup of masala chai.

Lunch – If and when possible, cook dal for lunch. It is nutritious and fills your stomach up if you have a big appetite. A bowl of dal, sabzi and 2 phulkas can satiate you completely. If you are running short of dal recipes, try these yummy variations of dalsduring the week.

Snacks – An apple for snack can certainly refresh you. The crunchy and juicy taste refreshes the mouth instantly. If you are carrying it along, carry a whole apple instead of chopped one. Here are 10 reasons why you must eat apples everyday.

Dinner – If you want to skip roti sabzi for dinner, try this barley soup recipe. It’s filling and contains basic spices and vegetables to make it a complete meal. With this dinner, you won’t wake up feeling heavy in the morning.

Exercises

At home – Since your home workout was covered in the morning, you can do some light stretching before you head to the gym or else if you wish to do specific exercises like abs or thigh toning exercises, you can practice those too. Here are some no equipment exercises that can tone your abs.

Yoga – For improved balance and rejuvenated ligaments, practice Vrikshasanaor tree pose regularly. Practising this pose also teaches you mind control and helps you develop a strong core. Perform it without any support preferably.

At the gym – Only cardio or high endurance exercises aren’t sufficient. Toning is important too as it will prevent your skin from sagging. For firmer thighs, belly and hips try these exercises.

Sleep well tip – Turmeric milknot only heals but also relaxes the body. This makes you sleep better all night. Have a glass of hot turmeric milk before going to bed. It will ease your tiredness too.
