These moisturising hair masks are easy to whip up and great to use. Try them out!

For split ends
If your hair is brittle and has split ends, a protein-rich egg hair mask is just what you need. The protein will enrich the hair shaft making it less brittle and less susceptible to damage.

Beat two eggs and add ½ cup of mayonnaise to the mixture. Apply it to your hair and leave it for 20-25 minutes. Then rinse it off with a mild shampoo.

Itchy scalp
You can get rid of falling flakes with a mask filled with moisturising and nurturing oils—coconut, olive and jojoba oil. These health conditions can cause an itchy scalp.

Combine four tablespoons of coconut oil with four tablespoons of jojoba oil. Then add three tablespoons of olive oil and mix all the ingredients well. Apply it on your scalp and massage it from your tips to the roots. Leave for 10 minutes and then wash your hair with a mild shampoo.

Dry and damaged hair
If your strands lack moisture, you can rehydrate your hair with this hydrating avocado mask. You can also use this DIY hair mask to rejuvenate dull, dry and frizzy hair.

Add ½ cup avocado and ½ cup mayonnaise to a blender. Then add one tablespoon of coconut oil, one teaspoon olive oil and one tablespoon honey to the blender. Blend all the ingredients well and slowly comb the mask through your hair. Then cover your head with a shower cap and leave it for at least 15 minutes. Rinse your hair with cold water and hydrate your strands with a conditioner.

However, if you do not have the time to whip something up for your hair, you can always add some coconut oil to the hair conditioner you are already using and then wash off.
