Step-by-step guide for a face massage at home!
Massaging your face in the wrong way can actually lead to fine lines. Find out what is the right way to do it.
While you must be massaging your face every day while applying your moisturiser or your night cream, there is a proper technique to massage your face. Whether you rub your face with a moisturiser, or an aromatherapy blend, beauty expert Nandini Agarwal from Marvie Ann Beck Academy tells you the right way to do it.
When you massage your face, remember the thumb rule that you should always massage it in the upward direction and never downward. You must try these different types of facial massage.
Lips : Bring your fingertips on your chin and slowly sweep out and upwards. Slowly move your fingers towards your lower lip, your upper lips and then to the sides of your nose.
Cheeks : Then place your fingers around your nose and massage your cheeks all the way to your ears. Ears: Massage your entire ear and earlobes in a circular motion. Do it several times.
Jawline : Keep your mouth closed and massage my making small circles around your jaw.
Eyebrows : With your thumb and your index finger, gently squeeze and release the area at the beginning of your eyebrow and then move along the eyebrows.
Forehead: Move to the centre of your forehead and slowly massage out towards your hairline.
Eyes: Place your fingers around your eyes and stretch the corners of your eyes in an upward direction. Then close your eyelids with your thumb and relax. Once, you are done massaging your face, take a sponge to remove all the extra oil or cream.
