Depending on how you rejected them, guys would perceive how mean and rude you were. No matter how nice and subtle you can be, rejection will still hurt a mans feelings. Guys think that if you dont like them, then why should they care and theres no point for them being nice to you.

2
You ruined their confidence

Some guys are just too insecure to begin with. Why do guys get mad when you reject them? Its because you did hurt one of the most precious things they are taking care of, their confidence.

3
They feel like a fool

After rejection, guys feel like their feelings were played on. They think that they just wasted their time and effort to this girl even if they really wanted a serious relationship.

4
They are sad

It is pretty obvious that guys become sad and resentful after rejection. They wouldnt want to be friends with you because for them, there is no chance for friendship because they were rejected in the first place.

5
They cant think clearly

This does not only apply to men, but goes for everyone. There are studies indicating that thoughts of loneliness and rejection can make a person not able to think rationally and score lower on IQ tests.

6
They hide their emotions

Why do guys get mad when you reject them? This is because they try to hide their real feelings of hurt and insecurity, and, instead, they show anger.

7
They overgeneralize

They agree with their fears and believe in the feelings of despair they are experiencing. They overgeneralize and focus only on their personal hurt. When the truth is, being rejected once doesnt mean theyll be rejected all the time and it is not the end of the world.

8
They are ego-centered

Well, this does not apply to all men out there. But there are guys who really get mad when a girl accidentally or intentionally bruises their ego. In return, they try to take their revenge to the girl who rejected them.
