Fitness plan day 259 – Add cucumber to your diet

The crunchy and fresh cucumbers are a weight loss food. So start munching on them today.

Morning – You’ve been reading about a lot of weight loss drinks or infused water from different sources. If the right ingredients are used and if you drink it regularly for few months, they’ll definitely show results. Begin your day with orange and mint infused water and if you prefer it over plain water, carry it along.

Breakfast – If you aren’t in a mood of eating something solid for breakfast, settle for the apple and cucumber smoothie. Both the ingredients are refreshing and cucumbers are excellent for weight loss and digestion.

Lunch – Tofu is an excellent substitute for paneer and since its soy, it’s loaded with proteins. Try the stir-fried tofu with vegetablesfor lunch along with phulkas or just as is. It’s a complete meal in itself if you don’t wish to carry roti along.

Snacks – A lot of people can compromise during lunch and dinner but snacks need to be delicious. But don’t put your diet plans on a back burner by indulging in unhealthy snacks just for the taste. Look for healthy and tasty options like this Italian garbanzo bean salad.

Dinner – If you feel like having rice at night, limit the quantity a small katori o0f brown rice. You can make lauki moong dalalong with it. The dal will keep you full. If you are still hungry, you can have an extra bowl of the dal but avoid too much rice.

Exercises

At home – Concentrate on getting toned thighs this week. You can try squats, lunges or leg raises or a combination of all these. Try these thigh exercisesevery day at home to see positive results.

Yoga – During yoga, focus on toning abs. The Vashishtasana or sage posehelps you achieve a strong core, burns the stubborn belly fat, improves your posture, flexibility and balance.

At the gym – With a strength training exercise like deadlift and its variationsfor a strong physique. This exercise also improves posture and makes you appear tall and lean. If you haven’t practiced this in a while, do it under guidance.
